DFA’s Shit Robot (Markus Lambkin) is known for his elegant, almost nostalgic, taste in music and shitty taste in choosing names. No, his first EP, named “From Cradle to the Rave”, is not a cheap dubstep album; It is an unpretentious masterpiece that spans over multiple genres demonstrating that Shit Robot knows his shit.

Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, Losing My Patience explores emotional machinery, being extremely vulnerable while keeping its analog insentient spirit(Oh, the irony).

Take ‘Em Up on the other hand is the sleazy disco-funk tune of the album. Robotic coldness of Losing My Patience leaves its place to a cheesy/bouncy feeling and smooth guitar riffs.

Bonus track of the day is a track so nice, we featured it twice. I still get goosebumps from the euphoric piano breakdown halfway through I Got a Feeling. In case you missed it back in April, here’s your second chance.
