Disco boogie madness from disco revivalist Escort, a 17 member band from Brooklyn, NY. Cocaine Blues is a loosely based on Dillinger’s 1976 “Cocaine in My Brain” and feels like a forgotten classic. Very organic, very cheerful and very retro.
Midnight Magic might as well be the best new act of 2010. The group has three past members of Brooklyn’s Hercules & Love Affair: Andrew Raposo, Morgan Wiley and Carter Yasutake.
